Christina Danis

Christina Danis is Regional Solutions Project Research Fellow and a PhD candidate in public policy and research assistant at the Urban Institute, University of North Carolina-Charlotte. She was Director of Science & Planning at the New Jersey Highlands Water Protection & Planning Council and is a member of the American Institute for Certified Planners. Christina’s research includes urban-rural connections in the Charlotte region, the economic halo effect of Methodist churches in North Carolina (NC), and active transportation policy measures. Her contribution is in research methodologies, including interview protocols, analyses, and connections with research networks, as well as deep expertise in regional policies related to watershed, land use, and disaster resilience management.
