Natalie started her career on the real estate development team at Self-Help Credit Union in Durham, North Carolina working on both housing and commercial real estate development projects across North Carolina. From there, she worked as a Community Revitalization fellow with the Development Finance Initiative at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill before pursuing a Master’s degree from Virginia Tech. Prior to coming to LOCUS in 2019, Natalie held a position as a loan analyst at the National Housing Trust in Washington, DC where she helped underwrite affordable housing loans as a part of NHT’s two CDFIs.
Natalie has a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Geography from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI, and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Tech. She also holds graduate certificates from Virginia Tech in Nonprofit Management and Economic Development.
